Museums

marco

Marco is an abbreviation for Museo De Arte Contemporaneo De Monterrey, a museum located in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.  I chose this museum because since I am of Mexican descent I haven't traveled to Monterrey since I was 15 years old.  I'm 27 years old now.  This museum actually has a Pixar exhibit, Pixar is the Animation Studio that has created many movies.  This museum also caught my attention because it looks very elegant.

Vatican City

I chose this site because it gives you access to online tours of different areas of the museum and also because this museum is located in Rome.  The online tours are such a nice feature because it gives you many views of a specific part of the museum.  I chose to look at the part of the museum that had the sistine chapel.  Some of the views are limited but it is very nice.

Mexic-artemuseum

The Mexic-Arte Museum is located in Austin, Texas.  I chose this museum because it's specifically focuses on Latino art and culture.  In the photos section of this website they have many event photos for your convenience.  Some of the pictures are very interesting.

Artists

Michelangelo

This site has Michelangelo Buonarroti's sculptures, drawings, paintings, architectural works and Frescoes in the Sistine Chapel.  The sistine Chapel pictures that are available can be zoomed in so you can see the details nicely.  I also like that Michelangelo was an Italian painter, sculptor and architect.  The drawings that are available are also interesting.

Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso lived from 1881 - 1973, which he lived about 92 years old.  This site takes you through the different periods of his life and what he created during those periods.

Leonardo

Leonardo Da Vinci was a painter, sculptor, musician, engineer, inventor, scientist, and an architect.  I was also attracted to his details in the paintings and drawings he made.  His self-portrait was very interesting because in my opinion I would never think of drawing myself.  I also read that he would write his notes were written backwards in his notebook so that only someone intelligent enough to realize it could read it.
